The Sumida Hokusai Museum measures to prevent the spread of Covid-19
 
Visitor Guidelines
Health and Safety During Your Visit for Keeping us All Safe

All visitors are required to...

1. We're conducting temperature checks at entry.
    Please refrain from visiting if you have a cough, sore throat, fever, fatigue, etc. If you're sick, please stay home.
    Avoid visiting if you have symptoms of COVID-19, have been diagnosed with COVID-19 within the past 14 days, or have been in close contact with someone infected with or experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 within the past 14 days.
2. Please wearing a face covering. Please cover your mouth with a mask, handkerchief, tissue, etc. when coughing or sneezing.
3. Please disinfect your hands and fingers when entering the facilities. We’re providing hand-sanitizing stations for visitors.
4. Please refrain from talking in the exhibition room.
5. Please do not touch the display case in the exhibition room.
6. Please disinfect your hands and fingers before and after viewing touch by hand the touch screen panel.
7.  The passengers in the elevator are limited to 3 people. However, families and caregivers can use it together.
 

Our efforts to prevent COVID-19 

1. We’re limiting the number of people in our museums, galleries, restrooms, elevators to allow for safe social distancing.
2. We’re providing hand-sanitizing stations for visitors throughout our facilities and conducting more frequent and enhanced cleaning. 
    The space used by customers has already been disinfected. Handrails, elevator buttons, toilet-handle, and tap, are disinfected several times a day.
3. We’re requiring that visitors wear face coverings at all times. Our staff at the museum who come in contact with customers, wear masks.
4. We have installed a virus splash prevention panel at the reception/museum shop.
5. To keep a safe and good environment in the building, we may restrict admission, and the staff speaks to the visitor to call attention.
6. We do not accept new reservations for group viewing.

The Sumida Hokusai Museum continues to work to prevent the spread of COVID-19 infection, and we ask you, our visitors, to do the same and help us reduce the spread of COVID-19. You must follow all posted instructions while visiting the Sumida Hokusai Museum, including instructions about wearing face coverings and social distancing.Despite these measures, the risk of contracting COVID-19 could increase by visiting the Sumida Hokusai Museum. By visiting the Sumida Hokusai Museum, you voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19.  The Sumida Hokusai Museum reserves the right to modify its hours of operations, capacity, or visitor guidelines as circumstances require and to deny entry or access to any person who fails to follow these guidelines or whose conduct puts our staff, visitors, or property at risk.
