In this exhibition room, there is a reproduction of the Hokusai picture scroll, the "Scenery of Both Banks of the Sumida River" with a total length of about 7 m, and several full-scale replicas of books such as "Sketches by Hokusai". And the corner of the special exhibits holds on the Depictions of Mountains by Hokusai.

Exhibition Overview

 
We exhibit ”Scenery of Both Banks of the Sumida River” with a total length of about 7 m, the entire work can be viewed in full scale, a real-sized high-quality replica for conservation reasons. The special exhibition corner holds the special exhibits: Depictions of Mountains by Hokusai. We will feature "Mountain" depicted in edehon works such as ”Sketches by Hokusai”. Also, on display in the series of the Thirty-six Views of Mount Fuji which has many requests, ”Under the Wave off Kanagawa”, also known as ’Great Wave’, ”Back View of Mount Fuji from Minobu River”, ”Senju in Musashi Province”. And In the Browse corner, you can pick up and enjoy flipping through some of them are replicas. There are several of Hokusai's books of drawing manuals such as ”Sketches by Hokusai” which are known in the world as 'Hokusai Manga'.

There is a <reading corner> where you can pick up a replica of the picture and read it. Disinfect your fingers with a disinfectant before and after viewing to prevent infection with the new coronavirus.
