The Sumida Hokusai Museum 9th Anniversary Event “Three Days of Appreciation and Our Journey”

The Sumida Hokusai Museum, located in Kamezawa, Sumida City, the birthplace of Katsushika Hokusai—will celebrate its 9th anniversary on November 22, 2025. To express our gratitude for your continued support, we will host a variety of special events from November 22 to 24. We invite you to join us in celebrating the museum’s 9th anniversary.

November 22 (Sat) – 23 (Sun)

Time: 10:00 – 16:00
Venue: MARUGEN 100(Lecture Hall), The Sumida Hokusai Museum
・Exhibition of Exhibition Catalogs and Leaflets
A selection of catalogs and leaflets from exhibitions held over the past nine years will be on display. Most items (except a few) are available for purchase at the Museum Shop.
・Posters of November Exhibitions Display
Posters from exhibitions held each November, the anniversary month of the museum, over the past nine years will be on display. Visitors can vote for their favorite design.
・Tsubaki (Camellia) Hair and Skin Care Oil Giveaway by Kurobara Honpo Co., Ltd.
Experience a traditional Japanese beauty oil used for hair and skin care, loved in Sumida City for over 100 years. (Limited quantity available.)

November 22 (Sat): Sumida Welfare Project “Sumino-wa” booth (baked goods and handcrafted items)
November 23 (Sun): Café “catea” pop-up cafe

November 24 (Mon)

A mobile tourism promotion vehicle and food trucks will appear in Midoricho Park (tentative).

Common to All Three Days (Nov 22 – 24)

The first 500 visitors each day will receive a special 9th Anniversary Sticker as a gift!
