For Teachers

The Sumida Hokusai Museum conducts a variety of educational activities for elementary and junior high school children in Sumida ward to help them learn about the connection between the town of Sumida and the world-famous ukiyo-e artist, Katsushika Hokusai, who was born and raised there.

Group Visit

For groups of 20 or more members, those who have an advance reservations are given priority. Please apply at least three days in advance using the group viewing application form below.
・If you do not apply in advance, you may have to wait for a long time.
・The museum will check the details of your application and contact you. Once the details are confirmed, your reservation is complete.

Admission Fee and Payment
  • When viewing a paid exhibition, group discount apply if there are 20 or more visitors in a group.
    Group discount: Permanent exhibition, permanent exhibition plus, special exhibition, 100 yen off the admission fee for each exhibition.
  • Payment is made at reception on the day of the visit.
  • Payment can be made by cash, various credit cards, code payment, or electronic money.
  • Changes and refunds cannot be made after tickets have been purchased. However, refunds will only be made in the event of a closure due to inevitable force.
The Day of Visit
  • A representative person, such as a teacher in charge, should purchase all tickets at once at the ticket counter on the day.
  • When purchasing tickets, the rest of your group should wait outside the museum.
  • Admission may be limited when it is crowded, so you may not be able to enter at your desired time.
  • When it is crowded, you may be asked to split your group into several groups and enter at staggered times.
  • There is no parking lot.
  • There is no driveway or space for tour buses, etc. to board and disembark the passengers.
